Am happy to announce the beginning of EP Series this month with the theme "Basil(Tulasi) or Cardamom".The event is hosted by Prathibha @ Cook Ezee,a well known blogger to many and one of my good friend too.Thank you Prathibha for showing up the interest in hosting the event at your space.Please do link up all your old or new entries with basil or cardamom as one of the main flavoring ingredients in that particular recipe.(PS:Don't link any recipe which don't fit into the rules and either basil or cardamom can be used or both can be used too)Hope u'll all link and share the traditional,modern or fusion recipes with "Basil(Tulasi) Or Cardamom".This time you can add the vegetarian & non vegetarian recipes.
And also I would like to thank Prabha @ Prabha's Cooking for successfully completing the event last month at her space,the round up is awaited.And a big bunch of thanks to all my enthusiastic participants too,looking forward for more lovely entries this month too.
Coming back to today's recipe,Kick starting the event and a refreshing one with the same theme 'Basil' and so is a simple Mango Basil sorbet which you can relish any time in summers.
Ingredients
Ripe mango large 1 ( peeled & cubes)
Basil leaves 5-6 leaves with stem
Salt a pinch
Sugar 1/2 cup
Water 1/2 cup
Method-
-Wash,peel & cut mangoes to cubes,put this in a food processor.Blend till smooth.
-Heat the water in a pan & add sugar to it, let it come to boil along with basil leaves.Simmer for 5 mins and then put off flame.let it cool.
-Add the syrup along with leaves to the pureed mangoes and grind well.
-Pour the contents in an air tight container & fees for 6 hours.
-Remove every hour and crush the ice formed with a spoon & then re-freeze it.
-Serve it cold.

Yum these combos sound great. I just made a mango sorbet but paired it with lime. I'm trying yours next time. They sound wonderful.
