Avocado, has many healthy benefits on the body. When I reached US, that's the time I saw this pricky looked avocado, but then I was very reluctant to even touch avocado because of its looks, but later the health benefits of avocado dominated in me, and so I started picking this frequently and so by now you may have seen a few recipes like Avocado chutney/chammanthi, Baked avocado fritters and now this one. This is a recipe I tried recently and have developed a special liking towards this shake. This is very delicious & filling one.Earlier I tried with condensed milk too, but that was very thick and not a healthy option in the long run. So I stopped using it now. This is a simple recipe which can be whipped in minutes. So try & enjoy !!!
Watch YouTube #shorts on avocado milk shake.
Preparation time ~ 5 minutes
Serves ~ 2 glasses
Ingredients
avocado ripe 1
milk 1 1/4 cup(cold preferably)
sugar 2 tbsp
honey 1 tbsp
Method
-Wash and slit the avocado, twist and turn to cut in half.
-Scoop out the flesh and discard the skin.
-Add it to a blender, add cold milk, sugar, honey and blend.
-Serve in glasses !!
Servings ~2 cups
NOTES
* You should pick up not very ripe and not very hard avocado.
* You can add about 2 tbsp of condensed milk to add taste and increase the consistency.I have tried that way too, but this one is without condensed milk.If you are adding condensed milk, then skip adding the sugar.
* You can even add honey alone too.
* I usually boil milk and then leave to cool in the refrigerator. You can use your preferred way.

ReplyDeleteHi Julie,
ReplyDeleteMy husband is a big fan of avocado juice. Personally, I've never made it myself but seeing this, I'm encouraged! I think honey is the healthier option, so I shall definitely try this out n let u know how it turns out!
