Mango Lemonade | Summer Drinks

How's the weather at your places ?? Though it's summer in most parts of the world, but at some places the heat is very high.Recently had read in news about summers in Kuwait. The outside temperature is so high that 'bullseye eggs' can be prepared on the tar roads in the afternoons. That's the perfect time to sip a chilled lemonade to feel fresh and energetic.Lemonade with any fruit is flavourful and refreshing, but this is the one which kids love a lot because of mangoes.Lemon and mangoes together yield a very comfort drink for summers to beat the heat.Am an adamant fan of mangoes, and so you can imagine my attachment to this very drink.Do give this a try & enjoy making your own lemonade flavours !!

Method
  • Boil the water and sugar in a sauce pan to make syrup.Stir until sugar is dissolved, and the syrup turns thick.Switch off flame and let it cool.
  • Blend the diced mangoes (ensure it's washed & peeled) in a blender, strain the juice using a sieve to remove any fibers which is optional.
  • Add water, lemon juice extracted and ice cubes.Pulse a second to mix well in the blender.
  • Serve in glasses by pouring the syrup and then adding the blended mix on top.Add ice cubes and torn mint leaves (optional).Mix and sip it up !!!

Servings~ 3 glasses of juice

 NOTES
* You can refrigerate the leftover syrup and use whenever making juices.Adds a great flavour than just adding sugar. Use this simple sugar syrup to make shakes.
* You can double or triple these ingredients to make a larger batch, always.

  5. Hi Julie, here at my place is hot but I'm lucky because by the beach is a bit windy and less hotter than in the city.
Your mango lemonade is very original and I'm sure I like it if I prepare it. Love mango and I remember the first time I tasted mango lassy in India, more than 20 years ago.
I'll give this lemonade a try, but thinking about how to substitute sugar.
    Cheers from Valencia
