Fall has almost started and its good to see the leaves changing color.But soon,winter will be here and the gloomy days sets in.Today's recipe is a summer post and its being long time in my draft and I almost forgot about it until recently.So,thought to post it before getting too late.Vanilla ice cream or the basic ice cream or I must say the mother of all ice creams is very simple to put together.But this recipe of mine is not from any cook book or online search or any other friends.This is solely my creation and am feeling proud to have tried this to create a simple yet fool proof recipe without ice cream machine.The texture of the ice cream was so good that none could make out its homemade.Frankly speaking,this is one of the best ice cream texture that matched the store ones.How did I end up making this ice cream? I had a pint of half and half sitting in refrigerator for quite sometime and I had to use it up before the expiry date.So,the best way to use up half and half as per me is make ice cream.Then,why not try our basic vanilla ice cream which my family loves too.Fingers crossed,mixed up everything and ready to freeze.Then re freezed again after a little work.Ultimately got this yummy ice cream,what's stopping you guys? Go ahead and get hold of these three ingredients,kick start and get your ice cream ready at home !!
Ingredients
half & half 2 cups
condensed milk almost a can
vanilla extract 1 tsp
Method
(There is no much method to elaborate)
Re freeze in a air tight container for another 5-6 hours.
Scoop out and serve.I added chocolate syrup for a chocolaty touch in one bowl.Both tasted awesome. !!
NOTES
* You can use vanilla bean for enhanced flavor.
* Use only pure vanilla extract.
